## Notice — this proof of concept is offline

This site was a working prototype that automatically transcribed a live AM-radio call-in program in Warrenton, Missouri into a searchable, structured web marketplace — refreshed within minutes of each broadcast, every weekday. It proved that radio-to-web automation works end to end:

**capture → speech-to-text transcription → AI structuring → auto-publishing**

This instance is offline. Live capture, the transcription pipeline, and all access to caller data have been **disabled**. Listings shown on the site are anonymized examples with every phone number and contact detail removed.

**SmopLabs is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any radio station.**

Built the same pipeline for *your* station or show? Email [radio@smoplab.com](mailto:radio@smoplab.com).

## What it is

SmopLabs captures your broadcast, transcribes it to text, uses AI to extract the listings, items, prices, and categories your callers mention, and publishes a clean, mobile-friendly site after every show.

Built for:

- **Tradio & swap-shop** call-in shows
- **Community classifieds** and farm-and-trade programs
- **Community & talk radio** that wants a written, searchable archive
- **Podcasters** turning episodes into discoverable, indexable pages
- **Local news & sports** call-in segments

Pipeline:

1. **Capture** — Record or stream your broadcast on a per-station basis under your rights.
2. **Transcribe** — Accurate speech-to-text of every caller and host turn, location-aware for regional place names.
3. **Structure** — AI extracts items, prices, locations, and categories (sale, wanted, service, free).
4. **Publish** — A fast, mobile-friendly website (and optional app) updates automatically within minutes of sign-off.

## Proof of concept — archived

The live marketplace is locked. You cannot open listings. No caller contact information is stored or served. The data API is disabled. Cards on the site are anonymized examples (real towns, realistic items, every phone number removed).

## Why this one is offline

We built the prototype against a real public broadcast to prove the technology end to end. It worked. We took it offline to respect the source. The right home for radio-to-web automation is a station that *wants* it: running on its own content, under its own license, from day one. That is the product now offered as a white-label deployment.

## FAQ

### What is radio transcription to web?

It's an automated pipeline that records a radio broadcast, transcribes the audio to text with AI, extracts the items and listings your callers mention, and publishes them to a searchable website — refreshed after every show. SmopLabs built and ran this end to end against a live AM-radio call-in program.

### Can you turn a tradio or swap-shop show into a website?

Yes. Tradio, swap-shop, and radio classifieds call-in shows are an ideal fit. The pipeline extracts every for-sale, wanted, and free item callers describe — with price, town, and category — and publishes them as searchable web listings automatically, minutes after each broadcast.

### Does it transcribe AM and FM radio broadcasts?

Yes. The capture-and-transcribe pipeline works with AM and FM radio streams, plus podcasts and live audio. It's location-aware, correcting the regional place names that are common on local radio.

### How fast are listings published after a broadcast?

Within minutes of sign-off. The capture, transcribe, structure, and publish pipeline runs automatically after each show, so your searchable site is fresh for listeners the moment the broadcast ends — with no manual data entry.

### Can it transcribe podcasts and talk shows too?

Yes. Any spoken broadcast benefits. Podcasts, talk radio, sports call-ins, and community programs can be transcribed, structured, and published as a written, searchable archive that ranks in search engines.

### Do you offer white-label deployments for radio stations?

Yes. SmopLabs offers branded, white-label deployments: the pipeline runs on your schedule, on your content, under your license, and is published as your station's website or app. Email radio@smoplab.com to discuss your station.

### Why is the proof of concept on this site offline?

This site demonstrated the technology against a real public broadcast. We took it offline to respect the source, and now offer the same radio-to-web automation to stations that want it — running on their own content, from day one. SmopLabs is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any radio station.
